Today I took delivery of my 535d. What can I say, I love it. The M-sport pictures don't really do it justice, it looks so much better in real life.
I am really happy I took the rear spoiler, looks so good yet it is subtle!
To be honest, I can only see that they refer to the 535d sport suspension as 'M Sport Suspension', and the option for other cars as just 'Sport Suspension'. I also don't seem to see them referring to M components anywhere about the optional sport suspension - given that the 535d engine is probably heavier, produces more torque and the car is [I suppose] considered to be a more performance oriented car, one would expect the springs to be stiffer and dampers to be calibrated differently to the 530d - but I am just guessing - ' hope you are not dissapointed.
BTW my car hasn't arrived yet, it is due to arrive in late May, so I am just patiently waiting
All normal E60 ( including 535d ) have 3 different shock obsorbers available ( different part numbers )
1) Normal
2) Sports
3) //M Sports
Then you get M5 suspension
The sports and //M sports use the same springs , but the sprngs fitted to a particular car depend on the options ( some options increase weight, thus springs are changed )
Don't know how true this is, but I was told that the suspension gets adjusted at the end of the production cycle to allow for the differing weights of the various added options. So presumably the shocks are adjustable (?)

The shocks are not adjustable, just available in 3 versions ( Normal, Sports, M Sports )
Your springs are chosen depending on your options
There are about 3 different M Sports springs depending on your options in the car

Not sure that's true about Sports and //M Sports. In the marketing literature they also say the //M Sports has some bushes etc from the M5 so presumably they can't be telling porkies?

I seem to remember seeing something about M components being used in the M sports suspension too.
Also just because the dampers are not 'user' or garage adjustable doesn't mean that they aren't factory adjustable - however that would make them more difficult to replace I suppose.
