530i pricing and fees
#1
i have offer of 1200 over invoice for 06 530i prem, sport, sat, comfort access, prem sound i am wondering if anybody has really negotiated maco or training fee and dealer servc fee. here is break down of additional fees maco 500 training fee 180 and servc fee of 380 please reply if you have dealt with these fees and is there a way to negotiate them. i am not looking to screw my salesman but i dont want to be paying double fees. if the profit was too low then raise the profit not hidden fees i can deal with honesty. so my question is does everybody pay maco and training some hide it in the deal and some charge extra. what should i be paying for vehicle over invoice with all fees including dealer servc that would be considered a good deal. thanks in advance for any help or opinions offered.

goldenwing,
Am familiar with the Maco and Training fees, but have never heard of a Service fee! Based on the amount of the Maco fee, you must live in a large city.

Ya I want able to negotiate those fees either... POS dealer sooo mad still. I would have gone to another one if I knew they had the MACO fee! But then I cant wait for a new one to be ordered for 2 months and needed a car. *sigh* should have negotiated properly before ordering...
Maco is the advertising fee
Training fee speaks for itself... fee to train the stupid techs WHICH THEY DONT BOTHER to actaully go and learn!!!
Service Fee is for them to remove the shipping blocks, clean the car, and prep it for your delivery.
Believe me I tried... the Sales manager sat there and explained every single line to me and i wasnt able to escape one penny.

I also paid MACO of $200 and a Training Service Fee of $180. But it sounds like you are paying a training fee AND a service fee. That doesn't sound right. If I read your post correctly, your fees total $1060??? That's high.
By the way, I negotiated with several dealers in a 3 state area close to my home. Their fees were all identical as I've outlined above for MACO and TSF totalling $380.
I would question your dealer---something doesn't add up.
It would help to know what the major metro area you live near.
