Nice! Here you get good rates only for Volkswagen or Skoda (even 0% financing).

The US is the largest export market for BMW and apparently the pricing there , despite many discussions here to the contrary, is not going to be increased. The Canadian market is small in comparison , 26,000 units annually so we don't get leverage on pricing despite a $1.07 CDN dollar. We either go to the States and try to buy a BMW there or let Canadian financing and local service etc be the rationale to purchase here. It bites, but the resale values continue to hold and be relevant .
Cheers

Hey westcoast, that's great news for Canada...where did you learn this as I'd certainly be interested if it applies to the US as well. I'm going to be signing purchase papers in the next several weeks!

Good find!

It likely won't happen in the US, the pressure has been the exact opposite there. With the Greenback falling the pressure has been to raise BMW pricing to offset the currency . Ask your dealer though.. Good Luck

I had made the business decision to lease my 535. This decrease in rate will lower my monthly payment by about $100. I'm still upset about the overall Cdn vs Us pricing, but this softens the blow. Slightly!

Given the huge price differential between USA/Canada, it may still pay to deal with a private leasing company other than BMW Financial , pay the 8% interest that they charge and still save a significant amount of money and be able to still lease your car, even if you allow the leasing company to make a couple of thousand over the purchase price, have not had time to do the math, but if our dollar goes to 1.10 that Us $ 62,000.00 car now becomes CAD $ 55,800.00 to purchase, add in about $4,000.00 in duty etc... and you are at $ 60,000.00 instead of $ 82,000.00.

So my question for you math wizards is, what is the monthly lease payment on $60,000.00 with Zero down and say
8% per annum interest on 36 or 39 month lease?
