Number 1: Update your location (profile) under the "My Controls" link above. We can't answer your questions without knowing where you live.

Number 2: Go to the BMW web site for your country and click "owner's circle". Create an account and then add your car by adding the production number or VIN.

Number 3: Click on Order Tracking and you can track your car on line.

Everything depends on when your car was built and where you live. For example, if you live on the west coast of the USA, it takes 6-7 weeks to get your car shipped from Germany. It's a long boat ride through the Panama Canal.

Did you salesman tell you why there's a 40 day delay? This delay may be good for you. Only cars built after September of 2005 are REALLY model year 2006 cars. Maybe you ordered in August? The BMW factory was closed for all of August to get ready for the 2006 cars. Maybe that's your delay.

BMW will not compensate you. It's possible your local dealer may give you a few things if you can prove that your salesman was not honest.
