2009 335i coupe
Over on one of the E90 discussion forums, someone is claiming that BMW's DCS.Net site is showing March 2006 production start for 2007 model year for the E60. Models listed are 525/530/550 so there does not appear to be any engine change.
This seems too early for the mid cycle facelift for the E60 which ordinarly would occur four years after introduction or September 2007 as a 2008 model.
Would anyone here care to speculate as to what changes could be expected with March production?
Oh, and here is the link:

I read the post from a few days ago which was stricly speculation and has not seen any activity in several days. This new thread was based upon a new reported fact that the 2007 MY E60 is showing up in the BMW system with a March 2006 delivery date. My person opinion was that it warranted a new thread, but apparently you feel otherwise...

I am definetly greeting the 2007 MY information with lots of scepticism. It seems very odd that any face lift would come early or that the engines would be changed only one year after their introduction. I'm on edge, as I have a 530 on order which will be built soon, and I would hate for significant changes to be put into production shortly after I take delivery.
Thanks for the info that you have seen the 2006 delivery schedules, it gives me a level of comfort.

I hate to add to the rampant speculation going on re: this topic, but it seems odd that production would halt, even temporarily, so soon after the 550i appeared. I mean, there's only 1 or 2 550s at each of the dealers I've been to in the SF bay area, and those only arrived recently. Lease rates on the 550 are still ridiculously high, whereas you would expect BMW Financial to incentivize (is that a word?) the money factor prior to introduction of a new model as they did with the 545 just before the 550 appeared. Until you see discounts across the entire line of 5ers, there's not much sense worrying about a refresh... Just my 2?, take it for what it's worth...

a break means the production line is stopped and the new models put on .. thats it !
