hey guys,
would like to order a 2006 530i with the 255hp engine ASAP. I am located in toronto, canada. Does anyone know if the 2006 530i is available for order in canada yet? I know bmw.ca has yet to update their site with it so if anyone has any info in regards to this please let me know!

That's weird. 525s are available in Canada now?? First I've heard of that. And 530s aren't?? Did he say if the 525 had the new engine or is this old stock they are dumping on unsuspecting Canadians?
I understand that for the 3-series, only the 325 is available as MY05 (E46) - the 320 and 330s aren't available anymore (I suppose until the E90 is released in Canada).

[/quote]Are you sure, I've never seen the E60 525i in Canada? Including on the BMW Canada web page (only 530i and 545i available to be selected)

My understanding is that the MY06 530i with the new 255 HP engine is to arrive at the Canadian dealers in May. The x version is to arrive in the fall (along with the E61).
I believe that the 525 will be introduced as an 06 model late this month using the 3.0 liter engine currently in the MY 05 530i with some changes to the standard equipment.
The 545 will continue on as a MY05 until the fall when it will be released as the 550i with a new engine.
