Net Total - 60,345.00
DESTINATION CHARGE 695.00
Total Suggested Price (MSRP) 61,040.00
As of today the car is status 155 - assembly finish/quality check, so I'm hoping it will arrive in about a month - anyone want to place bets?? :-)
Does anyone know the invoice equivalents?? I still need to negotiate final price with the dealer.

Just add $1000 to the previous base model invoice pricing and you should be close.
61K for a 530i, amazing. I'm getting my Euro Delivery 545 for 58.5K , same options w/out the folding seats.
I just ordered my '06 530i yesterday. Got the dealer to write 2.8% over invoice into the contract, but I don't have my final pricing yet. The info posted about the 530i pricing is actually lower than the byo site, which btw has the 2006 configuration information: http://byo.bmwusa.com.
I got my pricing today, same as above, although the dealer left the corresponding wholesale prices on the sheet. If anyone is interested, I'll post. In all, it's pretty clear that the '06 is cheaper with the same options as the quote I had on the '05.

06 530i
Description Wholesale
0650 530i $42,315.00
LCSW Black Leather $1,320.00
ZCW Cold Weather Pkg $685.00
ZPS Premium Sound Pkg $1,640.00
ZSP Sport Package $2,095.00
416 Rear Electric Sunshade $525.00
435 Anthracite Maple N/C
655 Satellite Radio $540.00
Dest $695.00
MAGO $200.00
Training Service Fee $180.00
The MAG(C?)O fee and training service fee appear to be swallowed up in the MSRP, in other words, in that column, they appear as N/C. I think since my price is going to be computed from their actual "costs", this additional $380 may factor in. My salesperson is out today, so I won't have a chance to get the final price until tomorrow. I'll be interested to see how they work the math, but no matter how it gets calculated, the deviation shouldn't even be $100 between the various methods.
Oh, the other weird thing: I ordered the car on the 12th, the fax the dealer got on the 15th says the car is Status 150 - Production started. I'm assuming they "hijacked" one of their current orders and aligned it with my specifications?

He said at a minumum $2500-$2800 over invoice, has anyone else come across this when trying to pre-order an 06?
I am on the east coast, Atlanta Georgia.

My dealer DISCOUNTED my new car $2,600., and is currently working on getting me a set of the BMW #172 wheels from Germany at COST.
If your dealer wants more than invoice, shop elsewhere.

Jeff in CT....
I think you must have mis-read something in these posts. These guys are trying to find out what others are paying over invoice. No one is paying MSRP and no dealer will sell a 2006 5 series for invoice. ????

Right, we're talking wholesale (invoice) - not MSRP sticker.
UUronL - I went to VOB BMW in Rockville. As with all dealerships it is hit or miss on customer service but my sales rep Alberto Zamorano is both excellent and professional. I'm expecting $2-3K under MSRP.

I found a dealer who was offering $500 over dealer cost on an '05 and $1,500 over invoice for an '06. This the SF bay area. Delievery would be mid-May.
Anyone gone as far as discussing lease rates on '06s? I'm wondering if they offer the same residuals and MF as the '05s.
