Ok, so the current lease deal I am considering is this;

MSRP $65,695 (sport, premium, cold weather, nav, hud, rear folding seats, sat radio prep, black sapphire/black)

$2500 down plus about $250 for tax, title, plates.
$799 a month for 36 months, 12k miles.

The 2004's are going for around 55k. I would buy this instead of leasing a new one but I would want to make sure I got a late build date. To avoid all that, I'd rather wait for the 2005's to hit the used market.

Any guess as to when I could expect to see some used 2005 545i's hit the market???

What do you think of my lease deal, any other opinions on the lease vs. buy debate?

What is your cap cost WITHOUT the reduction? Never put money down on a lease, it is a ploy by the dealer to make you think you are getting a good deal. That money dissappears, like your monthly payments, when you return the car.

Also, unless you are prepared to pay for the servicing of the 545 after the warranty expires, you might want to think twice about purchasing.
