Hello Everyone,

I know this is a long shot and not a e60 but i am selling this to help fund my e60.

I used to frequent the forum pretty regularly 2 years ago when I was in the Market for a 530i but instead decided to keep my Toyota Solara and pick up a 1972 Datsun 240z Restoration project.

at that time i was working a normal 40 hours a week and didn't have much else going on but now I'm working close to 60 hours a week, study for the GMAT, girlfriend, buying a house and on top of that i need to get a new car. Basically i don't have to much time to work on it and this makes the most sense.

I have painted the car Monterrey blue from the Nissan 370z and am in the process of finishing the engine bay and floors. the car is rust free and painted!!

1. 1983 280zx Turbo motor with 60k miles

6. 1983 280zxt T5 transmission
7. 15 gallon fuel cell
8. Griffin racing radiator
9. MSD fuel pump

Suspension
1. Ground control coil overs
2. Tokico HP struts
3. Sectioned strut tubes
4. Street roll bar
5. Toyo R1R 235/40/17 and 215/45/17
6. Axis Banzai 17x9 and 17x8

I have spent over $10k and 100's of man hours on this project and hope to get around that much off of a e60.

I am looking for a 2006 or later 550i or 535i but will consider the right 530i.

I'm fine with around 65k miles or less.

open to any color but prefer black, gray or white with a dark interior

I also have a 99 Toyota Solara with suspension, exhaust and TRD Lip Kit with 150k miles I am trying to sell for 5k if anyone is looking for an inexpensive reliable daily driver.

GLWS. If I had enough space, I would've picked up the 240z. I've always loved that car...the devil z!!!

yeah space is becoming another issue of mine also, i don't think my dad appreciates me taking over his garage!

this car has always been a car i was obsessed with and i hate that i have to get rid of it.

Thanks Doode! I decided to hold off on an e60 and finish the project....

After taking my cousins Turbo Laguna Seca blue 72 Datsun 510 to BimmerFest 2010 and seeing the reaction his car got there, i realized like you said, I've got something with a lot of potential to be sick!

Sweet...what engine is in the 510? Nice S30 too btw

I'm a HUGE Datsun/ Nissan fan. I've been modding them for 20+ years now. Nothing as cool as yours though

Very nice....Sr20's are sweet little motors I would love to get a 510 with the same set-up. I wouldn't mind having a 240z with a L28-t for that matter

My current Nissan is a '84 S12. I swapped in a s13 Ca18det a few years ago. Stout little motor....pushing around 300whp @ 22psi of boost. Only weighs around 2500lbs, so it's a pretty fun little car. Here are a couple of pics....
