BMW's credit check is an instant process via the weblink that BMW-FS sends to the new "buyer." The guy who took my 530xi said he was approved instantly online once he submitted his info. He literally was approved and had paid his transfer fee in about 5 minutes.
And the car is still theoretically yours until BMW tells you all of the paperwork has been approved....about 7 to 10 business days.
