After owning the M6, I am lusting for the V10 beast again....options I'm looking for on an '08 white M5 are: HUD, comfort access, active seats...basically fully loaded.
30k to 40k miles is good....why is white so hard to find?

Not sure where you live at or how much you're willing to spend but I was looking for one as well; and remember seeing one in NY going for $49k with 22k miles. There are a few listed on autotrader.

Yup but it has an accident on the car fax. i know which one you're talking about... but yea forreal... do the car fax first and after still check it out for defects, that is what makes you a smart buyer.

Honestly, carfax is crap. I once almost bought a 2001 Maxima "certified carfax clean etc" that had been in TWO major accidents, none of which were reported to carfax (I have a father's friend who is a mechanic check the frame/engine/suspension etc of all cars I buy before I buy them, he also uses a paint meter to check for paint work) It turns out that frame of this Maxima was cracked TWICE in accidents, and welded back together.

Carfax is only as good as the body shop where the work is done that reports it. Sadly, in the five boroughs, most body shops just dont give a shit.

You can always PM member DBae1978, his Alpine White 2008 M5 is about to go back to the dealer as a lease return. Myabe you cna work something out with him and his dealer to buy it or extend the lease? His is LOADED for sure and white with black interior.

Thanks for the info guys....I'm in Socal as well.
I did see the one in NY, but too far to check out. I do agree on the carfax - doesn't give all of the info...so inspecting the car in some way is important.

Is DBae in socal as well?

I'm also looking for an 08 Alpine White on Red, fully loaded on the East Coast.
It's not an easy find at the right price ;\
