Roel, not sure what you do for a living, but I get called about 5 times a day from various recruiters for fantastic job opportunities through LinkedIn. Granted, I'm connected to 500+ people, so my network is decent, but it definitely helps. I've been on many interviews over the years, just to see what else is out there, and if it wasn't for LinkedIn, I'm not sure I would have had as many offers. Then again, it also depends on what you do for a living. I think my industry is one of the rare industries currently, where work is plentiful.
