Daaaym, good eye!
BTW I've seen Scott's 550 IRL several times and must admit, it is DEFINITELY one of the most gorgeous 550s I've ever seen - love that color combo, m-tech and the 172s!

Just swap with Calton - M5 is too much power for him anyway

It just happened to be sitting in stock at Circle BMW just waiting from someone like me to swoop it up with the $2500 rebate BMWFS was offering in March.
The delaer did not tell me the story behind the car but I seriously doubt that the dealership would have bought that car to put it on its lot in the hopes that someone might buy it -- although that's common for 528s and 535s, that just does not happen much with 550s which are a very low volume car in comparison.
My guess is that someone odered it from Circle BMW and then backed out. I got an excellent deal on the car (about $800 above dealer cost including MACO and training fee before the application of the $2500 rebate).
I do really like the color combo. It is no secret that Carbon Black requires a lot more care to keep looking clean than a color like Titanium Silver and that the 172s also require more TLC than some of the less complex designed OEM 19 inch wheels -- but they are among the most unique looking OEM wheels out there.
The car is terrific and fast. I just wish it had the 507 bhp monster V10.

Is an M5 REALLY going to be fast enough for you, Scott, you speed freak? Or is this just one step up the horsepower ladder? There's a guy in my garage with a flawless 2005 Aston DB9 with 3,000 miles for 80 grand.

I need a 5 passenger sedan. -- not a 2 seater or two plus two. So my options include M5, E63 and CTS-V. Panamera Turbo is too expensive for me. I am a BMW person so M5 is perfect.

+1 Can't imagine you driving a Cadillac (at least not willingly)
As soon as a) my car is paid off and b) we have a house - the wife already green lighted the M5 for me I CAN'T WAIT. Good luck with the swap.
