Wheb I was your age (back in the late 1980's), I drove a bucket (1981 Chevy Caprice). I couldn't afford a V8 5 Series until I was in my early thirties. So everything is relative. Some people will never be able to afford any 5 Series, let alone a $70K 550 or a $95K M5.
The 550 rocks. You are going to love it.

Yea, the 550 is a great car, it feels very different than the 545i. I can't really explain it, but it feels very different. I will have to get used to it

Once you're in the saddle in your 550 for a while longer, write us a review on the differences between the two cars. That would be an interesting read.
I just hope the 545i sells or I won't get to own the 550i.
