Aloha everybody,
I test drove both of the cars a number of times. Even though, the mags all praise the Cayman S, I like the M. It definately felt faster. I was wondering if anybody owns one or the other and what the pros/cons are.
I still love my e60, but its so smooth and quiet it's leaning towards boring.
Does anybody feel the same?

I
The only thing that keeps me excited is the surge of torque from the engine. I really like in town or at highway speeds to nail it shortly. 60km/h blink 100km/h. No drama, no fuss.

I also agree with you on the M vs cayman option. I like the Z4M coupe looks more, i like the engine more and i certainly like the LSD more. WHAT A pitty the Cayman S doesn't have an LSD. Porsche really went down with this. I mean what true sportscar doesn't have an LSD?!

Yup i was thinking of that too but that's very light and hasn't got that much power to kill the inner rear wheel, hence the loose is not that big and maybe the gain of adding an lsd won't be that big either considering this thing adds weight, weight that made the elise such a big compromise. For cars with more than 300bhp i think the lsd is a must...or for cars with 560NM True i swear!

Richard Hammond from Top Gear agrees with you on the Boxster S & Z4 M Roadster argument.

The Z4 M stole his heart, and is the one he would drive home.

The episode is series 8, episode 4, if your interested...
