Drives beautifully, handles like no 2-tonne limousine should, and dare i say it its more connected
to the road than the 745li . Otherwise only regret is not getting to try the ABC suspension first, as the airmatic DC isnt quite up to the standard. Anyways the car will be here for a short while and hopefully within 7 months it will be replaced by a 4MATIC model.... hopefully a nice little S320CDI.

Consumption is around 18L/100km with very heavy driving, whereas the 745li gets around 33-35L/100km in easy driving.

Kills so far have been the 745i, 535d, Audi A8 6.0W .... got whooped by an S600 though

Car has AMG package, but no AMG alloys, as they were damn expensive

I'm a little confused. Is the 2007 S-Class badged as a S500 in Europe and S550 in the US? Both have the 386 HP engine.

Nevermind, apparently it is the case. S500 in Europe and S550 in the US.

Nice ride, love those wheels they look very classy. As for the kills I find that strange since I was consistently killing one of these at highway speeds (up to 250km/h) while an A8 6.0 I raced on an A-road was definitely pulling ahead after 160km/h. Maybe things are different from a standing start.

p.s. there must have been something seriously wrong with your 745 over 30l is SUV territory

I've spent some time in an S550 and it truly is a nice car. Sure, there are things I like better on the E60 but overall, it's pretty sweet.

They've done much better with COMAND (even though they copied BMW for the most part) and the interface responds very quickly compared to the speed of our cars...

Tsk. I'm disappointed. I was hoping for the other side of the girl (in the other Merc). Instead what I got was the backside of the car!

Never mind. Nice car all the same. Congratulations.
