My Ride: 530i Touring, M Sport, build date 10/05, Silver Grey, Black leather, Maple Anthracite, Anthracite roof lining, panorama roof, M Aerodynamic, M Steering wheel, M Sport suspension, sport seats, shadow line, 135 M wheels, Goodyear NCT 5 runflats, and some other stuff too.
X5's had several recalls.
But seriously, too much talk in this forum about bloody Lexus. Who cares about them. Even my accountant sold his RX because it was too ugly and dull. Nuff said.

Has BMW or any other German Companies Merc Audi etc ever made it on the news for a major recall?
In the US you guys got the work done with an added 100,000 mile warranty.........
In the UK we got the work done with the bill for the oil and filter change...?

My Ride: F11 520d white, auto, professional sat-nav with internet, variable damper control, sports steering wheel, extended lighting, retractable tow bar, wing mirrors with dimming & folding, full electric seats with memory & lumber adjustment, etc.
All the mass market manufacturers have recall problems. For those not remembering this forum is full of stories about E60 run-flat tyre issues, whilst this has not been a recall issue plenty of north american drivers have had replacements done for free. BMW decided what tyres to use not Dunlop so ultimately are responsible.
My previous E-Class had two recalls and numerous problems, they made the headlines in Europe when profits took a tumble over it leading to senior management changes at M-B.
For the snobs among us the Toyota Motor company regularly beats BMW, M-B & Audi in the JD powers customer satisfaction & reliability tables, sure the E60 is a pure driving M/C and Kool on the drive, but we dont shell out our cash based on common sense, but emotion.
