just another kill story. i was driving on the 91 west earlier tonight, coming home from a dinner at hooters with my girlfriend. i was so full. anyway, i was driving at around 70 and a dark gray car comes from behind and tailgates me. i tapped the brake once, not hard or anything, just to put the brake light on to give him a warning that he's right on my butt.

then a white chevy truck passes by and had monster wheels and was pretty loud. as it passed, the gray car tailgating me switched to the left and went after the truck. i found out that it was a chevy cobalt coupe, and it looked pretty new. i kept my speed. they didnt really go anywhere because the truck slowed down. the gray car gets next to me and is tinted and went the same speed as i was. i couldnt really see through but i saw shadows moving inside and figured they were looking at me then each other. my girlfriend said that she could tell it was a girl in the passenger.

no honk or jumps or anything. i just hear a shift and he goes. within one second im deciding if i should go or not, then i decide to go since there wasnt much traffic. i was about two cl's behind and gained them back in about 3-4 seconds. driving manual mode in step, im in 3rd and behind him. i shift to 4th and switch lanes to pass. i had to switch one more lane because of a car, and i get ahead by maybe his bumper to my door. i had to slow down due to traffic starting to build up a little and stopped running. if there wasnt any traffic that would make me slow down, i think i could have fully passed him and put some car lengths in between before shutting down. pretty soon he slowed down too but then he cut into the carpool lane.

a little later he was beside me and i was going to give him a thumbs up but i couldnt see through his tint. just a story i felt like sharing tonight.

got a little rush there huh?.... i get jocked around sometimes by people who roll up to check out my car , sometimes they get a little close, and i will pull away when i drop the gear down and see them on my rearveiw mirror .... i get a little rush out of it , cuz they try to ride my ass and i strategically evade them. but im careful, bro just becareful with some of the people who mess with you on the road ..especially here in los angeles fwy , lots of shootings have been happening..ericd

Nice run. You still need to get a V1.

I had a brief run in with an e39 M5 myself last night. Blew past the M5 (he was in the right lane; didn't know it was M5 until I passed it) on the way to dinner at La Jolla on Route 52. Needless to say, the M5 quickly got up on my a$$ so I decided to speed it up a bit more. The M5 didn't have a chance to pass me b/c we were nearing the end of the 52.
