yes, its dopey. The front end just does not look good with out the M front.

That is not a pleasing view.

I agree, stock front bumper could be a better design...the E90 bumper design looks much nicer IMO.

But I will still take E60 over M45. Hell, I'd take GS430 over M45. I hate Infiniti with a passion after owning one (FX45). Not touching one ever again!

Not to worry - you'll only be seeing the back end of our E60's - vanishing into the distance - from your M45 anyway...

seriously, I like Infiniti (I had two prior to my E60), and the M45 looks like a solid buy - but the E60 will always be the class benchmark.

Actually, you will be seeing my M5 tail light.

My M5 should be one of the 1st in the west coast courtesy of Bee's spot.

I am simply stating how uninspiring the regular E60's front end is. My M45 is simply my beater.

thank you. come to think of it. I don't think my E55 will see regular E60's tailight either.

"That is subjective." Well, this whole discussion is subjective, including Krispy's accusation that I "do not know what handling is."

I simply prefer the handling of the Acura RL to that of the M45 with its trick rear-wheel steering. Doesn't mean the Infiniti is inferior to the Acura in any objective sense, just that I like the Acura better than the Nissan; I find Nissan products to be generally "sloppy" with a lot of hysteresis in their handling characteristics, while Hondas are usually much tighter and better-damped (though undeniably with very pronounced front-drive character). Others will no doubt disagree, which is why the darn Nissans sell. And I am with Krispy in acknowledging I do not know "everything" about vehicle handling. It's like what the judge said about pornography; I know it (what I like) when I see (experience) it.

In any event, this is kind of a silly discussion since I find the handling of the 545i sport to be head-and-shoulders above any of the above pretenders. I'd be surprised to discover this to not be the majority view on this forum.

I will disagree with you again.

The outside apperance of a car is subjective.

But handling characteristics, and steering response on the other hand is not.

The RL steering response, chassis, and overal handling is simply not at M45 nor 545i level.

I had dinner with a friend over the weekend who is car shopping-- they looked at the M45 and agreed it was so ugly that despite how good it looks on paper, he wouldn't even consider buying it. The interior and the rear exterior of the M45 are universaly regarded as ugly. Ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly.
