IMO, a Porsche is not a car to slowly roll through downtown to show off. It's not to compete with the S class or 7 series. It's for weekend getaways. Now you can really pack the bags and have a thrill/joy in the canyons.

Actually I really like it. That's the way a Porsche ought to look. Love the practical hatch.

The final outcome is surprising. From the spy shots I was a little worried. But in the end it looks great.
The amount of R&D they have put into this vehicle is crazy. It seems like the first rumors and spy shots were years ago. It could possibly turn out to be one of the best driving sedans ever.

IMO, a Porsche is a two-door to be driven hard and fast while having fun. If I want to pack bags and take the family for the weekend, I'll drive the 5 or rent a mini-van if I have a huge group or something. A Porsche is a sports car, not the family station wagon. Who the hell cares about showing off? Where I'd take (and have taken) a real Porsche (e.g., 911) is where there are as few people, and cops, as possible. Buy, hey, to each his own.
Why is having fun only limited to two? What if you want to drive across America? If BMW can do sports sedan, so should Porsche.
