As fate would have it, I was behind (briefly) a brand new Maxima this afternoon on the 118 westbound and I realized the tail lights are also quite odd. From behind they look like they were pulled off of some other car and slapped onto the Maxima either upside down or on the wrong side (left vs. right) of the car. Also the passenger compartment of the Maxima looked like a bubble on top of the car. VERY strange!
