I was just reading the bit about the helicopter crash during an Audi commercial shoot in Pikes Peak - hope everyone recovers, pilot's listed in critical, 3 passengers - in stable conditions. This was on Autoblog.com btw, here's the link, if anyone wants to read: linky

Anyhow, what got me thinking is this pic with all the hardware in the trunk of this TTRS - or TTS, whatever that thing is (and it does look pretty cute, btw).

This is the Audi that they're testing the "driverless drive" technology on - I think its Berkeley or MIT people that came up with it (don't remember). But the point I'm trying to make is: HOW LONG ARE WE GONNA CONTINUE TO SACRIFICE DRIVING PLEASURE AND ECONOMY FOR ALL THESE RETARDED OPTIONS? I mean, if you don't want to drive a car, don't f***ing get one! Or car-pool, or something! It will ease up the traffic for the rest of us, ya know... what, with all these "in the way" drivers out of the way. But no-o-o, some d-bag scientist had to come up with the idea "what if we make cars that drive themselves?!" Take a train, genius! Take a bus! And - to quote the famous ad - LEAVE THE DRIVING TO US - the ones that love it and know how to do it best!

what do you guys think?
