I'm so glad I can be one the few non biased car entusiasts out here. Just coming from the Audi side, their forums were always making excuses about BMW's and here it's the exact opposite. One of the funniest things is claiming how Audi's interior is ugly when year after year it is rewarded for best interior and fitment. And I HIGHLY doubt they changed their bias on the Quattro drive system to be more like BMW. But BetterMakeWay...if you already know the M5 performs better, then you should probably start writing reviews on it.

IMO why to pay attention to this model if RS6 is on it's way. BTW do u guys see how audi wants to go closer to bmw (dropping the turbo engines and going for high revvy ones on top models, and the quattro settings giving more power to the back).
I bet this car is in the pricerange of the m5. So knowing the m5 is the better car, looks better imo, and performs way better why would i want that?
they better aim high real high, as M5 is on the top at the moment.
However as to driving capabilities quattro will always be a handicap on a track......
good for winter thou.... I miss quattro those days

the interior sucks
Do you really think the interior sucks? I have to tell you, of all the V8 powered sedans I checked out, I liked the Audi the best. Their MMI implementation is superior to IDrive IMHO and the entire dash just looks better. Just my opinion of course - but most automotive writers seem to agree no?

AUDI SUCKSSSS

Ok, sorry. I dunno how it performs. I just drove it, that's all. I dunno how the audi performs though. I can only imagine:lower or similar hp/torque, heavier car with the quattro system, 0-100 of 5.2 compared to the 4.7 time of the m5. It may outperform the m5. Don't u think?

And yes...i can bet even without knowing anything that this car will be in the pricerange of the m5. As was the S4 in the price range of the m3. In fact here in Romania it was a bit more expensive. About 2000euros or so.

Looks neat; I'm not so sure on the saloon (don't like the rear) but the Avant looks very very nice.

I don't know about the performance, nobody really does yet, but I really like the Audi design, inside and out these days. Much better intregrated than BMWs (I've never owned an Audi, by the way).

I have one problem with the current Audi design, though: the new grill treatment looks OK with a rectangular Euro-sized license plate, but visualize the thing with a squarish U.S. plate, or no front plate at all. I'm not sure that will look too good.

By the way, did anyone see "Transporter 2"?
The Audi W12 in that movie looks awesome. Fairly rare car, but I've seen one, in black, and it's ultra-cool.

I don't think the Audi version of the engine revs as high as the one in the Lambo - probably much different cams. I think it makes more torque though, and at lower RPM. Definitely more tuned for a passenger car. Also, it won't have the Italian "pipe organ" of an exhaust. I'm guessing it will sound good, but likely not like an Italian car.

Thinking about those exhausts reminds me of an episode of Monster Garage when Jesse James was complaining about how he always ends up fabricating the custom headers and exhausts on the project vehicles. Someone told him that it looked like a musical instrument because his work was so meticulous. He quipped, "It is a musical instrument... it just makes one sound though. WHAAAAAAAAAAA" (the sound you make when you're trying to imitate an engine revving)
