[quote name='Guest' date='Feb 16 2005, 11:11 AM']Its only about 150. I know of some "stupid" people going that fast in the states.

its hard getting up to 150mph in the states - most "americans" don't understand the concept of the left lane being the passing lane, NOT the hangout at speed limit or below lane. only times you could actually hit that speed, if your willing to go to jail if you're cought - is late at night/early in the AM.

ARGH!!! tell me about it! Waaaaay too many idiots on the freeways. I especially hate the ones that dont keep up with traffic ahead of them in the fast lane and just cruise bogging down traffic and creating a traffic jam while other drivers try to over take him on the right side. Cops need to ticket these people... they cause more problems than ever.

We have lots of them here too ... And overtaking from the wrong side could result in a ticket.

Cops WILL give you a huge ticket for overtaking on the right in Germany.

Yes but of course that doesn t have to happen...you have to be crazy to drive slower in the left line in Germany!...I never had to push anyone in that lane while drviving in Europe...they are good drivers and very disciplined... Make you want to move in Europe just because of that!

I used to have a 1999 A6 for 4 years, and loved it.? It was a smooth, albeit uninspiring car.? The fit and finish, seating material...etc was all world-class caliber.

My only major gripe about the A6 is its poor resale value.? I imagine that as Audi improves its image, the resale value will rise.

I would definitely choose the A6 over the comparable Mercedes E class.

Agree, I had a 2K 2.7T 6Speed, and loved it. But, once I drove the 545i, I was smitten. The trade-in was awful, and I refused to buy another for that reason, if no other. I am a convert, and not ashamed to admit it. I love my BMW, and if I live long enough, will have another. Hopefully a M5!!!!!

rofl - speaking of trade-in value. i was on KBB tonight.

'04 530i w/ options i have was brand
new: ~$57K
Trade In: ~$41K

oh yeah ... all of that in 3 1/2 months.

my audi kept better that way ('04 A4 1.8t qmt6 loaded)
new ~$34K
trade in w/ 32,000 miles in 11 months ~$24K

its ok though .. my insurance droped by $800/year w/ the bmw - surprisingly since its nearly double the price, and i could imagine much more costly to fix due to the materials used (alum.).

The outside styling of the new A6 looks pretty good, but the interior is terrible. specially the steering wheel, it make the car look very old styled.

I saw my first new A6 today from the rear. At first I thought it was a new A8...but alas it was the new A6 with the open-mouthed grill. Just like the E60, the 3/4 rear-end view seems to be my favorite angle. It's a handsome car...I'm going to have to go to Rusnak in Pasadena and go for a test drive!
