There's no doubt, that 55K motor is fun for city driving.

If I understood correctly, 12.9 seconds at the 1/4-mile is not indicative of what this car can really do from a dig. A stock E55 W211 (stock tires too) will get into mid 12's. Nevertheless, it's always fun to pick on those Italians.

correct, he only floored it after the green light. With some better tires and timing he could shave
another .5 seconds easily

Right.
I'm sure his 60' time was well over 2 seconds.

I should also clarify what I meant about city driving...
The 55K motor, with all that torque readily available, makes driving at city speed limits a blast. I mean literally, step down on the pedal and you're gone. You don't have to get into jail-bait speeds (triple digits) to enjoy the motor. As a matter of fact, in So. California freeways, I very rarely see anyone drive over 100mph. If you do, you stick out like a sore thumb and police can spot you without a damn radar. I wish we had an Autobanh equivalent.

I would guess an average speed of 68-70mph on the freeways here.

ok got it. I dont know i drive with around 110mph in the city here , as we have no cops at night (they only patrol in the center) and only 2 speed cameras in the whole city... so the roads are tehre for the taking

i was once stopped doing 103mph on a central boulevard... ouch parted with around 25$ worth

What!? That's it?
I think that's a bargain...$25!

I got zapped doing 87mph and paid more than 5 times that.

policemen here are scared of touching money, hence they prefer for someoen to "buy them a coffee" as its called here...

it means you give them cash ,and are on your way... thats it

so i drive like a lunatic and pay up when i get caught

LOL!
Cool.

As for cameras...
If they mail me a ticket with a picture of my car speeding, I think it's only fair that I take a picture of the cash I owe and mail them the picture.

, problem here is that you receive a letter stating:

due to violation of code "this and this" paragraph of this law of the Republic of bulgaria,
you are summoned to give evidence regarding your violation at a police branch...
the officer assigned in charge of your case is...

Failure to attend will result in further fines , and possible imprisonment

so you gotta go with your letter. Have some money tucked inside and presto
