Took out a mercedes CLS 320CDI demonstrator last weekend and was seriously impressed.
My 530i has another problem with drivers airbag error messages (third time) and its really starting to annoy me. Fed up going back to the dealership for fixing.
Have had 5's for 10 years now and will probably go for a new CLS.
If any members have any opinions I would like to hear from you.

CLS looks great except from the rear.

The smallest CLS is CLS550 in US. If they have CLS350, I probably won't be a member on this forum... you konw what I mean??

You can import a CLS 350 and and a S350. I don't know how, but I've seen several CLS 350 and S350 with local license plate in Houston, Texas.

I also like the CLS, especially one with the AMG kit, however BEWARE, the BMW dealers can be bad, but the Merc dealers are worse!!. CLS - Looks ace but I really needed to seat 5.... Merc onlt seats 4. Furthermore I think it looks a little cheap inside. Not a fan of the console, but everything else is ace. I drove the E320D Avantguarde. Thought it was ace., but settled for the 530. Heart ruled my head!!!

Given the choice, for longetivity and after the gadget factor, I'd elther go for a C or S (if a Merc is the way to go) or a .... 550!

Be sure and try the C63 AMG before you buy the CLS.

I like the CLS looks but going from any BMW to any Merc, including AMG, means you don't care too much about the handling. Isn't it so?

Done it, bought a CLS320CDI. The torque is amazing. Handling is excellent as well. Will enclose a couple of pics. What do you guys think?
