Regarding the color of this particular model...
Would not even consider that color, or any shade of Burgundy for that matter, in a million years. I like Mercedes' earth/neutral colors. For example, that champagne-ish color, iridium silver, alabaster white.

I forgot where I read it, but it is using the E-class chasis but the body itself is lower and wider. A formula I always wish I could have in a sport sedan.
Funny thing is, I didn't like the car when it was first introduced but absolutely love the style now. The same was true with the debut of the e60.

like the cls alot... ive sat in one.. its only a 4passenger car... not practical for me since i have a new baby... my dad loves it alot and is thinking of getting one... tried alot to convince him on the 7 but his dream is to have a merc.. dont want to spoil that for him..since he has driven a 82 celica forever anyways... just my 2cents

I hate mercedes and I own a 05 530 but im sorry I think I would go for the CLS500 over a 545. I think it looks very nice. Although its only a dressed up chrysler =/

I agree with you. Im in the same position. I test drove both cars yesterday and Bmw was better in driving dynamics but the White CLS500 was just too nice with the AMG body kit. I dont know what to get too. Still deciding.
