Merc CLS
#11
I am looking for a new car, but dunno how to decide, i really like the interia of the cls, the font of the cls is ok, but i dun really like the back. I really like the 5 series overall, but when u compare the interia, i think that the cls looks better. So its a hard decision...

I think the cls interior is much like the e-class interior, especially the centre consol. I think i like the car. I think the wood looks nicer than the e-class wood though, seems darker than that of the classic and elegance.

Another though on the interior- theres one thing i cannot stand, and that the clock dial right next to the speedometer. Its someting a really old person would like. Its not a driver's read out. The e60 is brilliant, having 2 large easy to read dials.

My Ride: 2009 550i sports, Nav, logic Best E60 yet
2004 545i, sports pkg, logic 7 steptronic, rear shade, orient blue with beige interior, blue tooth enabled Razer Phone. 2004 X5 3.0, sports pkg, stepronic, summer pkg. imola red.
2006 Mini Cooper S, manual, sports, prem pkg, nav and kitchen sink.
The interior on the mercedes do look better, but they feel claustrophodic to me, I test drove a couple of models before I got my 545i. I also did not like the steering on the mercedes.

The interior looks nice, but their car "feels" the same as many others (leather material, door/dash material), but their appointments are nicer than others (design, chrome accents, etc.). The only car out there that "feels" like a BMW is BMW. That is something that is hard to describe, but its that "it" factor. It's special.

I saw it and sat in one, It sucks, and if its up to the MB tradition it will drive like a SPONGE
the rear has no headroom, I think they wasted time with this car, they have a car for every market segment, what the hell is this CSL supposed to target?
I dont get it.
SLR I sat in too, kinda cool I would never buy it, its not a real sports car, Carrera GT is almost the same price.
If you want something new then get the CSL, if you want a great driving car with a nice modern contemporary style get the 545
