It looks like M-B decided to offer this service in the USA on the S-Class -- I realize BMW has something similar outside the US, maybe now they'll feel the need to let us have it too?

AN EASIER WAY TO GET DIRECTIONS INTO YOUR VEHICLE
Mercedes-Benz Search & Send is a new and convenient way to plan your trip destinations ahead of time. Available now for your S-Class with your Tele Aid subscription, Search & Send is the first service of its kind available in the United States.

Mercedes-Benz Search & Send is simple to use ? search for a destination using either Yahoo!? Local Maps or Google Maps? websites, then send the coordinates of that destination directly to your S-Class.

Once you're in your vehicle, simply push the i-button and your destination will be downloaded directly to the vehicle's navigation system via your Mercedes-Benz Tele Aid service. You'll be prompted to either start route guidance immediately, or save the information for later use in your navigation memory. Instead of spending time inputting data into your navigation system, your destinations can now be available whenever you need them!

Mercedes-Benz Search & Send ? where Internet convenience meets engineering excellence. Try it today. Visit http://www.mbusa.com/searchandsend for more information.

I think technically it is part of BMW Online rather than Assist? but yes, I can confirm we have this in the UK, it comes as standard with the Professional Nav, and the subscription is free for 3 years. Aswell as the googlemap ability, you can also go online to read the latest news, weather, etc. It's very cool
