Dont compare these two, first of all lets talk about quality of materials and workmanship of both cars no comparo. Interior in JGC looks rudiculous and I bet it feels as cheap as it looks, plus all those "small" issues with the brand realy scare me. On the bright site its affordable and damn fast with a good stoping power and skid pad #'s, maybe I should go to Jeep dealer tonight and try one out if they have it on the floor.

You think? What about a 545i or 550i stopping power? You think that jeep can outbrake the E60? I dunno why but i doubt it....
Do you have any data to compare?

Click the link that I posted above before questioning

I think you guys are missing the point.I would never trade my 545 for a SRT8.I would own both. The weather in my area is snow and ice in the winter. Not good for BMW's.My 545 sits in hte garage if any bad weather condiitons. That is when I drive my SUV,and also for hauling junk from the home building stores.I just want any car I own to perform very well. The RAV4 I just bought has every bit as much performance as the hemi I had.It just gets much better gas mileage.

So the point is that each car has it's purpose and capability? I guess some people like to have a preference for SUV with a sport car performance. Some of us like to have a sedan with sports car like performance. The latter is me . . . always me since I got my driver's license.

As for the Jeep SRT thing, more power to those who owns it. How much does that thing cost? I guess if I want to stop shorter than 116 feet from 60-0 mph, I could install 14" drilled rotors and brembo calipars too, for what . . . $2K. Then I run a higher risk of getting rear ended.

Hi gman:

Well, I was sort of close on both counts. A Mazda is almost a Toyota.
Hi Zman.Close except for the performance.Mazda is no match for the RAV4 in acceleration.I never was one to consider Japenese but the new RAV4 won me over for my foul weather car.My Gmeter sez the rav is slightly quicker to 60 than my Jeep Hemi and continues to pull away as the speed increases.Best ever on the jeep was 14.45 in cold weather.Have already run 14.37 inthe rav in hot & humid weather.

Here ya go:
With a forceful 269 horsepower (at 6,200 rpm) and 246 pound-feet of torque (at 4,700 rpm) on tap, this engine gives the RAV4 a decidedly aggressive personality. Coupled to a five-speed automatic and running through an electronic, "on-demand" four-wheel-drive system, our RAV4 scurried to 60 in just 7.1 seconds and was still going strong as it flashed through the quarter-mile in 15.2 seconds at 91.2 mph. This means it will lay waste to your snobbish friend's X3 3.0 by about a second in each category.
Quick little bugger...

Yes it is.I believe Motor Trend got 0-60 in 6.3 sec and 14.9 1/4.By disabling traction control and locking all 4 wheels I got 0-60 in 5.95 and 14.37 at 97mph with my GT2 timer.
