Not a bad design, this Genesis is.

But what Hyundai needs to do is revamp their business plans and introduce a luxury brand that doesn't bear the name Hyundai. Just like what Nissan, Toyota, and Honda did with their Infiniti, Lexus, and Acura, respectively.
I agree, but one of the reasons I'm NOT buying an Acura/Infiniti/Lexus is that when they are 5 years old they look like a Honda/Nissan/Toyota! No thanks, even though I drove the M35 and really liked it.

Perhaps, but the comparison between Lexus and Hyundai is a stretch. Lexus never began life as a low-end marque. Hyundai, as a brand, is still quite a ways off from Lexus.

Toyota did. Then they got smart cuz no one wanted a high priced Toyota no matter how luxurious or good --they made a brand called Lexus.

Haha not for $40K I'm not... if it was $25K or less I would seriously consider it.
Well... in Korea, the Genesis tops out at $69K for the 3.8 liter V6 and the V8 isn't even available.

They say the V8 will not be available in EU. Only supercharged V6.

I like the website, I'd love to see more racing videos ...

I know there have been couple posts about the Genesis already but I'm going to post it here to get more attention.

So what do you guys think? It can out corner and out break both the merc and the bimmer.

Trade in anyone?
Surely Hyundai won't be stupid enough to try and market it in the middle east under that name...anyone remember how the Chevy Nova didn't sell in latin countries because in Spanish "no va" means "it doesn't go"? I can't see Muslims wanting to purchase a car named after the first book of the Christian bible.

That's true, but my point of comparison was that Lexus also started with no credible track record in the business that it sought to build.
