its gonna be really tough for me to choose since I will most likely keep it for a long time. the fact that both are very expensive, I dont really want to wind up saying "what if..."

Buying a good car is tough, now choosing between two incredible exotics is just plain mind boggling!

besides heres a quote from Frank Sinatra

"You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody." - Frank Sinatra
Fezzas and Lambos were a bit different in Frank's day...

If you're deciding between F430 and Gallardo, and you're likely buying in a year or two, consider that the Ferrari will be a new model by then - the F450, which will most likely be A LOT better than the Gallardo. If it were me deciding who to give my deposit to, I'd be voting for the horsey. But ONLY if we're talk brand new. Used, I'd go for the Lambo.

The Gallardo is getting close to the end of its life too - the replacement model is also due in the next year or so.

what do you mean? please elaborate. both have a VERY steep depreciation curve.. so I am almost pretty sure I'll be buying it used (and hopefully well broken in). why not go for a used ferrari?

be forewarned that if anything breaks down, you could EASILY be hit with a $10K repair bill. and if youre planning on keeping it a while, then you'll most certainly have to pay that sooner-or-later.
also know, the more u drive a ferrari/lambo, the less its worth in resale.
whichever you get, a PPI is mandatory.

IMO get a porsche turbo , the things are practically bulletproof and you can drive them and not worry about the depreciation. they might not turn heads like an italian car, but theyre 9/10ths as good and can be driven daily.

took that into account already. I think its about $15k for a clutch and $20-$30k for transmission. belt/chain replacement is around $7-$8k. I figure, $1 per mile and a few hundred savings extra month "incase $hit happens"

Probably wont sell it though. I love collecting cars...

I saw a 360 in this color at a car show a few years ago and I fell in love.

See?!?! I just love the lines of the 360 a little more, it's curvy, sexy, beautiful. Something about Ferrari just does it for me. Lambo is very nice, just more aggressive than sensual, more angular and block like.
