We have a c350 in our family, and fiance has a 335i. I can tell you this, hands down you will enjoy the 335i much more in all aspects.

I do believe that the only choices for her would be a 328i or a C300.

She doesnt care if its fast or not.

What ismore important to her, interior poshness or great handling? If the first, she may want the C Class. But if she values great handling, it is the 3 Series by a country mile.

Not any more, Scott... The handling gap between the 3 Series and the C-Class closed considerably with the latest generation C. The 3 Series is still the class benchmark, of course, but the gap isn't quite as big as it used to be. I do agree it probably boils down to whether comfort and the (slightly) more prestigious badge is worth more than sport, ride and handling. Put another way, the differences in philosophy between the 3 and the C are closing as each generation passes. Unless you're talking top of the tree (AMG vs M) I'd probably just go for the one that looked like the best overall deal.

I've sat in the new C class many times, though never drove it. I must say, the plastics are cheap cheap cheap and the interior is kinda "meh"... I like the exterior design of it, but that's really not enough to vote for it.

My advice, forget about the Benz and get her the Bimmer you know she always wanted, but didn't know about it till she met you

The interior on the three is worse, V... For me, it's lower rent than the C.

Well, we all know that on this forum anything is lower than C

But no, I very much disagree with you. I think you are ill-informed about the quality of the interior. Or maybe around here benzes come from a different supplier (bootleg? ) - either way, having sat in both back to back, there is NO WAY C class' interior is better - neither design-, nor quality-wise - no way, no how, sirry Bob

Further, when you actually discuss the driving dynamics and handling abilities... C'mon! There's no comparison - Lexus IS is better than a Benz! And that's not even a real car!

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree my friend. I've also looked in both cars and came to the exact opposite conclusion. I will say that both cabins are perhaps a bit more austere than they ought to be. Neither one is going to win Interior of the Year. Still, you know what they say about opinions
