My Ride: 04 grey 530i..mods so far are pretty basic stuff- 20% tints, 20" Cattivos, Eibach springs, 8000k xenons (pics to come)
Hi all, while driving home last night from work i noticed in my rerarview some punk kid driving recklessly swerving in and out of traffic. we came to a red light with me being right behind him. this was my first time seeing a dodge challenger on the road and was curious to see what it could do. I knew i had no chance in hell against him (me driving my 530 with heavy 20" chromes). as soon as the light turns green we're both off with me being on his tail for the first couple secs then all of a sudden VRRRRRROOOOOOM...........he's gone. I didnt really even attempt to floor it but even if i had it wouldnt have been close. (i realize im driving a luxury sedan not a race car) .anyone know the specs on the challenger (base models, hemi, srt8 ect?)
I was very impressed with the outside looks and the performance of the challenger. From what i hear the interiors are pretty shitty though. On the bright side im still driving a BMW (beautiful inside and out) that gets many envious looks instead of a some dodge. I am curious to see how the 530 wouldve fared on a more windy road at hwy speeds (85 mph+)..any thoughts?

The engine options for the Challenger are as follows:
250hp 3.5L V6
370hp 5.7L Hemi V8
425hp 6.1L SRT8 version
According to Motortrend, the SRT8 will go 0-60 in 4.7sec and quarter mile at 13.1 @ 108.3mph
Here's the link to a comparison they had between the Challenger SRT8 and the Shelby Mustang GT500

I love the new Challenger SRT-8! The only way I'd ever want one is with the monster 6.1L.. I think they did a great job on the car. Looks like the old ones! Interior could use a bit of work..

Challenger = , E60 = Don't get me wrong, they're good looking rides, but I'd take an E60 over a Challenger any day.
