My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Doesn't look that bad, pretty aggressive, but where's the exhaust ports? Don't tell me that's them in the middle because that looks wierd to me.

As for the interior, those pics are kinda deceiving, looks like CG not an actual picture

In that first picture, the back end is a bit Infiniti-esque! Eh, though the rest of the car looks pretty nice!

I know swajames and I will differ on this but:

For one thing it looks like a wannabe Transformer and secondly it's a Cadillac - which to me means PIMP or greasy Guido from Sheepshead Bay.

It's OK, pjinca, we're still friends

It's the powerplant and handling that I like with these higher end GM cars, not necessarily the styling (although do I quite like this one).

I think we all agree that Cadillac still has a ways to go before it's seen in the same light as the premium German brands, although my underlying point is always that the high end product is probably now good enough to start to change the perceptions out there. It'll take time, but cars like the CTS-V and ZR1 can only help grow the brand's image and market positioning.

thats the showcar, so its pretty much a given that the production version wont have that funky exhaust.

What funky exhaust? You meant that thing in the middle at the bottom. I think the exhaust is tucked behind the bumper on both sides, I could be wrong.

The V package gives the CTS the same 6.2-liter V8 engine found on the Corvette ZR1. Using the 556 horsepower engine that produces up to 551 ft-lb of torque, the CTS-V sedan managed a blistering 7:59.32 lap on the 'Ring.

Too bad the V package doesn't actually give the CTS the same 6.2-liter V8 engine found in the Corvette ZR1. That would have been awesome.

Obviously GM wants to keep some space between the over $100K ZR1 and the CTS-V. What I wouldn't do for 556 bhp in my ride.

Guess I gotta get the F10 M5. The rumors of 600 or more bhp are getting me salivating.
