I would have thought it would've been closer. 300c has 340 hp/ 390 lb-ft torque/ 4066 lb curb weight vs the 545i with 325 hp/ 330 lb-ft torque/ 3800 lb curb weight. I'm guessing the gearing of the SMG made the difference and you were probably in the meat of your power band. Good run.

Something is off-he was in the wrong gear or did not kick down his auto or something funny. I have seen those run and they are pretty quick. Definetly not slow enough to fall 3 car lenghts in .5 seconds. I would not go by that race to judge the hemi

Hard to tell that was even a race...did he know he was racing you? Never did see him punch it and are you certain his was the "HEMI" equipped 300C....many more 6's out there. They are somewhat quick, but the weight (2 tons and change) kills the hp. I used to have them race me in my 300hp Mustang GT and would easily pull on them.

Chrysler is only good as a car if it's filled up with water and used as an aquarium.

I actually test drove a 300C hemi couple of weeks ago and i was EXTREMELY dissapointed... it felt very underpowered compared to my 550i... i guess its the weight... it feels like my GMC 2500 Van.
