I'd go with the Mcoupe or M3 or maybe a cayman S if it's in the same price range.

The 993 is wonderful, but the other cars will have better performance. I believe you could get an 02-03 996 around this price range so that would be a nice option a well.

What's a weekend car? A car for a trip with luggage to somewhere a few hours away or a car for back road driving? For the former, just drive on of your current cars. For the latter, an Elise or Caterham would bring far more grins. They also have the advantage of not making you look like a cock, or a cock who can't afford a 911.
