I'm sorry to say this, but the last truly great exterior design by Audi - aside from the R8, of course maybe - was the C5 A6. Everything else since was a derivative thereof. I've owned two C5's - both 2.7T automatics - and loved them regardless of terrible reliability and somewhat expensive repairs. But having switched to a 5 series, I've never looked back. And I know what you are gonna say about the A5 and how gorgeous it is and bla bla bla - I like it, but I still see it as just another cookie-cutter Audi. If a little different and slightly more good-looking than other Audis.
Can't wait to check out the A7 and love the interior in it - and the new A6 (I think they have the same dashboard).
