I just looked at that...

I have not driven a rear wheel car since, oh, if I told you I'd have to kill you.. just kidding.

It has REAR WHEEL drive. I need at least front wheel if not AWD.

Nice dodge about "dating" yourself there . I am always sketchy about first gen. cars. A lot of bugs/problems their first production year. If I remember right even the A8 had issues it's first production year with all it's new computer when it first got "upgraded"....

Yeah who else but an 'older' woman would be complaining about a younger man.

Well the Audi's been around long enough that the A5-S5 serious is really just the great engine and tighter suspension they USED to have with a 'smilier' front. But I know what you mean. American diesels sucked at first, as did foreign automatic transmissions....

Most Audis looked alike and were pretty bland up until they drew the grill down like they did. But I think they do well on suspensions, standard trans, and engines.

My '99 QUATTRO A8 4.2 had some body integrity issues, brakes, etc. but I heard the S5 had tight brakes. Of course the '99 was like a floating boat, which I hated after having just had the Audi 5000 FWD standard from '88

I really have tried to love BMWs but I'm scared silly up here in the mountains of NH to drive a rear wheel car, and the only one I like the looks of is the rear wheel model...

I have a young friend with an M3 and another one with the Z3 or 4... convertible...

So I guess it boils downn to this...

The S5 may be the new styling standard especially when Reiger touches it. CHeck this out http://www.lltek.com/audigate/html/s..._by_rieger.htm As big a BMW fan as I am, it might be time to jump ship.

Well, don't be too quick to jump -- there may not be any water overboard.....

I just learned today that I CANNOT get an S5 as they are backed up for orders.

I wanted a Black on Black, V8, Standard Transmission.

No can do they said. They won't take any new orders for those.

So other than getting another A8 which looks almost just like the one I have now, I have no idea what to do.

There is not a thing in the BMW, Porsche, Benz, Jaguar or Lexus family that floats my boat either.

Dang. I'm going to have to tell the two people I sold my A8 to that now, they cannot have it!

I just went to your link. That is the sexiest damned car I've seen in a while. The A5 model was a nice solid ride today, but it was outfitted for the mundane

(It was beige, automatic, 6-cyl, regular suspension, and not for sale anyway...)

What/ No one in the country has it that can do a dealer swap? Yes, that is a sexy car, even with the vertical doors that many may this is to "rice" or pimp.

Thats actually good news for Audi, but not for you.

Good for Audi, they should have a good year, even with the crappy economy.

Their cars are so damn beautiful.

Beautiful pics of a modded S5 in Dallas, Texas.

Personally I love this new car. I've always been a BMW fan, but this S5 has opened up my mind.
