Went to pick up my son from his school this afternoon and was parked next to a brand new Audi R8 one side, and a 6 month old Ferrari 612 (4 seater) on the other side. Wow were they both nice looking and sounding cars. First time I've seen either of them in the flesh. Guy with the R8 ordered his 3.5 years ago when it was still a concept car and picked it up yesterday - I didn't see inside but from the outside it really is a beast, and the rumble it makes at idle is awesome. The Ferrari ... at ?180,000 that is one expensive 2+2, but I'd have one if I could...!!
I was tempted with an R8 instead of placing the ordered for my new 535d, but realistically I do have to take the kids out sometimes so couldn't go for it. The Ferrari is well and truly out of my league...!

No question. Ferrari. Really no higher marque on the planet. The R8 is nice but I'd take the Ferrari. If cost is a deciding factor, the R8 is a good deal. Ferraris are for those with too much money.

No photos sorry - I don't tend to take a camera to school when I pick my son up, somebody would end up calling the police!! I think my phone has a camera but no idea how to use it or how to get the pictures on to my computer, I use my phone for speaking and texting!
I haven't seen the Ferrari again, and the R8 - his wife usually collects the kids but he came in to show off his R8. I'll keep an eye out for it and try and snap it on the mobile!
