The 2009 facelifted 911's get new DFI engines. Here's a video of a test rig at the Porsche R&D center putting the engine through its paces. The test rig simulates driving on the Nordschieife.

Pretty cool stuff

Cool video, thanks for sharing. That test rig looks to be extreme bordering excessive which make the engine that much more impressive.

i am sure they could. if they can build a space shuttle they should be able to do this.
first there just isn't a market for us cars in this price segment IMHO.

Of course there isn't a market for us cars. Sport US cars are best known for displacement and big...oh i'm sorry...small block V8s and stuff like that...so there is no purpose to such intense R&D and for sure not such advanced RIG. The R&D stops at deciding weather to do the engine a 7 or 8 liter one.
