A6 3.2 smokes 2004 530d ????

New here, just wondering how the 218 hp 530d stacks up against the A6 3.2? I have been told.. quote <..the acceleration on the a6 3.2 is better than the 530d..> needless to say this was not received well by me...anyone care to refute the aforesaid claim??

But bear in mind either the wrong wheels are driven or the 4-wheel drive saps the performance on the Audi...

What's the competition here? Standard Fuel against Diesel? That's not worth comparing. The 3.0 TDI Audi is not able to gain anything against the BMW 3.0d.

well I was smoked by A6 3.Tdi vs mine530i
it was from moving start like 80km/h than we both floored it
he pulled like 1 car lenght infront of me, damn
but it was when my car was brand new, so I did not push it all the way through the floor
On the other hand I beated 330d one car lenght

I "raced" a A6 3.2 with my 530d between Berlin and Hamburg, our speed was between 200-250km/h all the time and there was almost no difference between the cars exept that my 530d was a little stronger in the acceleration around 200km/h. But I`m sure he would win if we started on a trafficlight.

With my old optimized 330d (184hp -> 215hp) I had no problem with an A6 3.0TDI....
It's interessting how much of the engines power is taken by the Quattro in Audi's cars. With same hp and torque of the engines they cannot even follow the BMWs...

I think the Audi 3.2 would be quicker than a 530d. When I had my old 530 (231hp) I have raced many times with E60 530d I won all the time! 
But I got smoked by the Audi 3.2 
. So the conclusion is that the Audi wins over the 530d. But now when I got the 258hp engine I'm going to smoke some Audi's!!!
