You have to know when to pick your battles against Mercedes. Stay away from most that are wearing AMG badges especially if you see quad exhausts. i.e. C55, E55, E63, CLS55, SL55, and never ever this one SL65.
Having said that I really like the driving feel of BMWs better than Mercedes.

i talked to the VF guy at bimmerfest. he said the stage 2 has lowered compression via a head gasket and it ups the boost to 7.5psi. 500 horses and 457 ft lbs is the end result. they did the R&D on zhanna's car (a girl from e46fanatics.com), but she pulled her car out because they had it for over a year and they were having problems finishing the kit. supposedly, they finished 90% of the kit when she pulled her car out, so i don't know if they found another test mule to complete it. i volunteered my car but he said they were pretty much done with it. i hope you decide to keep your 6 and supercharge it

If you had an m5 I still wouldn't justify this thread. Mercedes AMG are torque monsters, they're straight line beasts BMW's are paltry in comparison. Though BMW would still be considered the ultimate driving machine because it's got the best overall experience.

A friend of mine has an SL65AMG. What a beast! Over 600 HP and over 700ft/lbs of torque. He let me drive it. I floored it on the freeway but couldn't get the tires to stick due to the rain. That car has abundant power.

although we've seen that from roll ons the M5 destroys the E55 so with LC we should see a good battle even from stand still starts.
