530i vs. A6 3.2

I was on the autobahn earlier this evening and I was next to an Audi A6 3.2. He took off and I took off and he won. I really could not keep up floored. 
We were doing 80 to start of with. I caught up to him when I hit 140mph as I think Audis are governed at 130mph.

My Ride: 2005 BMW 330i Orient Blue exterior Beigh leather interior with Wood trim, Premium package, Steptronic auto, Xenon headlights.
Well Lets see. The 530i has a 3.0 liter inline 6 with 255 horse power, and the A6 4.2 has a 4.2 liter V8 with 330 Horse Power. Audi has the advantage of 75 More Horsepower so I would surely hope that a 530i vs a A6 4.2 wouldn't come come to winning or being close to the performance of that Audi. Now try that Audi out vs a new 550i and the 550i would be all over his ass.

he was racing a 3.2 A6 not the 4.2

My Ride: Ordered: 2006 530i on Oct 1st, and due Mid Nov. 6 speed Manual, Navagation, Premium pkg, Sport pkg, Cold Weather pkg, Prem. Sound Package, Titanium Silver, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar wood. 18" 7 Spoke wheels (style 123), euro reflectors, Sat Radio installed.
well, technically the audi has a 3.1 255 hp engine.
Torque is greater in the 530i, even though the audi has a higher peak torque. It still is a rev's to reach it's power and it's torque comes on higher in the range.
The new 3.0 from BMW has the strange ability to have the power of of a push rod type engine, but then have the great low end torque. It's quite a marvel, and in my opinion, it's a more hightech engine then the audi a6 3.1 opps 3.2
I have not raced an Audi, but I would say the 530i should beat out the audi in the drag strip.
