Chrysler is no longer with Mercedes, they got bought out by Cerebus.
Wow, that's news to me! Thanks for the heads-up. Perhaps this move will bring back that old feeling of being "unworthy" to sit in a Benz when I sat in an S420 for the first time over 12 years ago. Kinda reminds me of meeting a high-profile celebrity. You know you deserve it, but yet you feel so undeserving of such an encounter. That's what a Benz used to make me feel. I hope that feeling comes back again. The Benzes of today despite how great and innovative they are, still don't give me that feeling. Could there be a manual Benz AMG (stick shift, not paddle shift) V8 in the works? *Yeah right* One can only dream ...

Dont get me wrong, I respect the car and it looks nice but at the same time its 120k+ and at the end of the day its a CLK. If I saw a GT everyday id get tired of it too for sure. Hell for that CLK63 Black Series money you can get a used Gallardo instead. Or even a nice used DB9.

The mercs I do like is the new CL and S. CLS is nice too but its in the E60 bracket so not much different.
Current lambos are pieces. As for a Gallardo its not a Lambo unless the doors swing up. I saw a gallardo in a restaurant parking lot a few months back, it looked like the interior was shot to hell. Gear shifter knob paint was all jacked up. But on the other hand the Lambos do have great lines, they look very nice. +1 for the DB9 its the only Aston Martin to buy, gear boxes in others are rubbish.

Agree CL, S, CLS are the best looking benz's. I have always had a thing for the SL's also, it has a lot of heritage with Mbenz.

I agree, the gallardo should have never been produced. It was meant to increase sales figures for Lambo but while its doing that its depreciating the image.

The CL and even the CLS are great MB's. As far as the SL, its still a great car but I feel it is very outdated for the money. 100k braket and you do not have the same features and tech goodies as the 15k cheaper s550? Still a very enjoyable car to drive though New SL will definitly be a hit in 2011 when they do a full redesign.

Wow I just typed all of this and it made sense and im SUPER drunk. What a fucking champ lol

My problem is that the front of that benz looks like a $30k C class, minus the body kit. Straight line performance is overrated.

2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is not made to go in a straight line. Its the pace car for Forumla One, it corners like a champ.
