What's up with the ladies prefer Merc over Beemer....my wife is the same, so is a few of my friends..... But I have her in a E53 now.....still she mentions one day she wants to get a merc. Traded in her C280 for my E60 and gave her my E53...

How about you get a toyota camry with leather and a v6? Youll get a real car that way instead of a C230 which I dont see why anyone would spend 31k for that. I dont see how someone would be buying it for the name when its the benchmark of the brand.

I like how the front end looks, but I would like to have seen the grill running straight across instead of having a ginormous tri-star emblem on it.

My wife wants a 2007 MB C230, mainly for the name and look. She also prefer small car as she is short. I would like to hear your experience/comments on this car, including reliability, pricing, etc.
Please don't try to convince her for a BMW 3. She wants a MB. I do admit C230 looks much better than 3 (for her at least).
Thanks.

The only nice looking thing about the C230 is the tri-star on hood. Its the status car. The C class has been all crap to date. The Lexus IS ain't bad and might be a nice car for the wifey. If the 3 series is out, please consider the new A4 that debuts in the fall. It will look far better inside and out than the Merc, and will likely drive better as the engine will be placed farther back from the front axle. As a final option, have her take a new 335 vert for a spin. Now thats one cute ride. Its kinda classy too.

The new C class may look nice but as far as the current C230, I just dont see why anyone would buy it besides telling everyone in the world "Hey I got a benz".
Lexus IS, A4, Acura TL, 3 series, and G35 sedan all blow out the C class.
