My wife wants a 2007 MB C230, mainly for the name and look. She also prefer small car as she is short. I would like to hear your experience/comments on this car, including reliability, pricing, etc.

Please don't try to convince her for a BMW 3. She wants a MB. I do admit C230 looks much better than 3 (for her at least).

Thanks.

I currently have a 2002 C32AMG. I bought it new. The service was about average. Performance wise the car was great. I feel the interior did not compare much BMW, as I had a 2001 X5 prior to that. I feel that the trim work and materials used appear to be somewhat of a lower grade. I do like gadgets quite a bit so the C32 did not deliver that for me. Again, the service that came with the new purchase, as well as after the sale, was good. The car now has 101,000 miles. I used it for work primarily. Very reliable. No gadgets though.

Good Luck with the mercedes, as a multiple mercedes owner within the family, it has been nothing but a headache. Honestly, if you count up all the service for all the things that had to be repaired, would have come out to another car. BMW 4yr. 50,000 miles FREE SERVICE, BRAKE Pads, etc. Mercedes before tried to offer a service compared to BMW, but it failed, because the cars are just too PROBLEMATIC. Honestly a 328 or a 335 would be more satisfying. Just test drive Both cars. Im pretty sure your wife will change her mind. Why would BMW 3 series always be on top of Mercedes c class??? even the new model for the c class is below the bmw, and lexus is right under mercedes. I had a 03 330i and it was just a fantastic car. From my personal experience, BMW has been great, service is great. Mercedes Headache... (dont take this post with negativity, but im just giving my experience)

He say wifey only wants name, typical MB driver doesn't care about performance or driving dynamic. If she wants it for the name only then why are you posting this question? Just go to the dealer and get the car for her, is what she wants and I think she would live with it if it's that problematic.

I bought my wife an 06' C230. She loves it but it is indeed very small. Put in a baby seat in the back and the passenger seat needs to go almost all the way forward.

Overall the car drives decent but you can tell it's bottom of the MB barrel. My recommendation is to go test drive it alongside the E350. If you can afford the next level then that would be your best bet.

uh i think the 07 is the same as the 06 class, nothing new ... seems pretty boring to me. the pictures you posted is for an 08 model.
