Sorry bro but that incident was before my time on this board and I was not aware of it prior to C's post yesterday about it.

That many had a good experience with Garry does not negate the problems the OP presented. In the classic internet scam by "QUAD_M" many wrote to say they had a good experience with him, too. Example:

"QUOTE (C's Bimmer @ Jun 6 2008, 02:33 PM)
I got my kit in under 2 weeks. Thanks again Tony. "

QUAD's scam stole 10s of thousands of dollars from members from all walks of life. Many individuals and government agencies investigated him. A Federal Prosecutor, too. His activities crossed state lines using interstate commerce thus triggering Federal jurisdiction. To me the final sad chapter was seeing the members try to collect money to hire an attorney to file a civil lawsuit. I did not feel sending good money after bad was justifiable.

For the insomniacs amongst us (and for those not wanting to see a horror movie) here is one link to the "Quad_M" scam: https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showto...0&hl=quad_m

Yeah, I remember posting that. After all the back and forth between he and I and getting Lomag involved, he finally offered me a kit to keep my mouth shut and asked that I post something positive for him. To appease the higher powers on the board and make a truce of sorts, I kept it short and sweet, but still found myself PM'ing members that wanted to order kits from him, that I was still not thrilled with his service and to beware.

Trust me, ask Lomag. It got ugly over PM between Quad_m and I. In fact, Quad_m blocked me from receiving PM's. Hahahaha!

let's not forget about "detto"
bimmer722 was the last member to get an actual kit from him, before he bailed with everyone's money too. I believe a few members paid a visit to him at his so-called shop.

This is an interesting case by the way.... I had a similar incident when i bought my 166M from him. my problem with him though was only about the delays.

I was a way for a while and could not follow what happenned.... how did it end ... was he jailed?

I don't think they ever found him, nor the $100,000.

Well. I will relate my latest experience buying parts from Garry. Simply put, it was fantastic. I need TPMS and valves for my winter set. So I called Garry and he got me the senors and valves for 25% off MSRP plus shipping. He shipped them out the same day and one day later they arrived at my apartment building. If that is not excellent, prompt service, I don't know what is.

If I ever need OEM parts again, I'll be ordering from Garry again.
Today, A&J Tires in Staten Island installed my OEM TPMS sensors and valves I purchased from Garry at a big discount. And, of course, they worked perfectly. When I next need OEM BMW parts, I'll be ordering from Garry again. This was my first experience with him and it was a great one.
