For anyone that seriously believes they're getting anything from Tony (Quad M) here's another horror story to warn you off.

In October 2007 I inquired about an M-Teck kit for a 2008 535i. Tony was quick to respond and laid on the sales pitch. "I only have one kit left. If don't order now you'll wait months for the next order, etc, etc."

I was trading in my leased 545i and was 90% sure I was going with a 535i. Normally, I would've waited until I had the car in hand but Tony came back again in the interim and when I told him I hadn't completed on the new car yet he made it clear that I'd have to wait for the kit anyway and should the car fall through a refund was absolutely no problem (see below for the refund guarantee).

Long story short, I ended up with a different BMW and asked Tony to please refund my money. That was when the excuses started. Here's a short list:

- "I already painted the kit so you own it."
- "I didn't paint the kit but you have to wait until I sell it before I refund your money."
- "I can't refund your money because my Paypal account is overdrawn."
- "I can't refund your money because I was in the hospital."
- "I will refund your money but I have to do it payments."

One payment was made on May 1st of this year in the amount of $207, which means I'm still out $1,993 to date. This has dragged out for nearly a year with countless unanswered emails and phone messages. As Tony has not followed through with his promise of regular payments and doesn't return email or phone calls I'm pretty much backed into a corner and be forced to pursue legal action.

As a final word of caution, I'd point out that his business model is set up with the clear intent to avoid any recourse: no last name is provided; no physical address is provided; no legal sales receipt is provided. These are all readily available from any reputable business. All you've got is an email and a cell phone number so in essence your sending your thousands of dollars into a black hole.

Caveat emptor. Don't be a trusting idiot like I was.

This is why I absolutely won't buy anything from anybody that's not local. I would rather pay a little more and buy the traditional way. Also I want to see what I'm buying.

A year of frustration in dealing with quad_m???!!! If i were you, i'd go down there and hunt the mofo down and get him arrested. Damn sorry to hear your situation and hope you all catch this predator!

Sorry about your problem. hopefully you will get your money back. PM me if you do want a kit for your 535. I can get it delivered in 2 weeks guaranteed. We have been in the business for over 10 years and we don't leave our customers hanging

Why don't a board member near Tony's business go down there, look around and ask a few questions. You'd be surprise if at how much info you can get, and maybe a photo as well.
