Oh double WOW! Thanks Russ!
Np - seems he has done the right thing. Obviously he shouldn't have sold the faulty items, but he's made things right, and I'm sure has learned a lesson. I say give him a break and a second chance. Everybody else seems to want blood though

People make mistakes. What's important is how they deal with them. I wish AC5 all the best in his life and with his studies and hope he's learned from this. I've made more than my fair share of mistakes and bad judgements, much worse than "shipping out some badly packaged and slightly damaged items which I then refunded" (come on guys, you're treating him like he's killed somebody, put this in to perspective!!), but I put things right and moved on.

What, this one?

"Another refund for Khooger regarding the black grill has been issued and is pending clearing with paypal on Fri. Sep 21st.
Khooger and myself will keep everyone posted with that. "

(PS, no I am not AC5 using another PC, nor a supporter of what he did, and I expect many of you think I'm stupid for trying to calm things down a bit ... I just think the word(s) "over reaction" in a dictionary should point to this thread for a good definition!).

Nope. Bigfoot got scammed by this guy before and is supposedly getting some money back as well...

You still think this guy is as innocent as he claims?

Sorry, mis read the username for some reason.

I don't think he's "innocent", but I also don't think he is the international criminal master mind that everybody is making out!!

I think it's clear that no matter what he claims, he intended to deceive buyers -- you just don't make those same mistakes over and over, hide your identity, and lie when you're busted. The only reason he's "come clean" and is trying to make amends now is that he realizes the deep $hit he stepped in when he messed with the wrong people here and got caught. Now he's scared and trying to do the right thing because it's his only option and it gives him the best chance of getting away from here with no additional punishment, etc.

My gut feeling is that he hasn't learned anything from these incidents -- he's just trying to bail out of here and continue his shady transactions somewhere else.

Kinda reminds me of O.J. Simpson...

A "scam artist" who gives out his full name and address to the people he is "scamming", and then refunds them? He made a mistake, nobody died, chill out.

I'll be back in a week or so when hopefully this is all over and done with and this forum is back to it's usual self!

He only changed identity _on the forums_. In real life, every single customer had his full name and address from the payment and shipping details. If it had happened to me, I'd have stepped out of cyberspace and just given the guy a call on the phone and had a chat with him. Some people take this internet stuff way too seriously!

Anyway, that's me done, I'm wrong - you're all right, I'm an idiot - you all know best

We didn't say he was an incredibly successful or smart scam artist, we just said he was a scam artist. Don't forget -- as far as he was concerned, up until yesterday, he thought he got away with scamming Bigfoot. Lord knows how many others he successfully scammed. Remember early on during his "outing" he claimed that he was going to stick to selling things on E46fanatics, etc. since we were basically not willing to take getting less that what we expected -- I guess others on that board are easier prey for a guy like him.

Enjoy your time away from here -- not sure why you're so concerned about this "poor guy." Even if we agree to disagree, you don't have to read this topic if you don't want to...
